California, the Orange County is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, made famous by Los Angeles and Hollywood within it, and made even more famous by the T.V. program The O.C. As is portrayed in the program, California is where the rich people live; Hollywood is where the rich and famous people live. I mean how many states have one of the most famous actors ever as their governor, one: California, thanks to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s election in October 2003.

California has so much to offer — something for everyone. Los Angeles is a world famous location because of the number of exclusive shops, as in shops that only the rich and famous can afford to shop in, L.A’s Rodeo Drive became synonymous for such shops after its appearance in movie Pretty Woman, and the snobby attendant’s catastrophic rejection of Vivian Ward, played by Julia Roberts, despite the fact that she had free reign with the loaded (Richard Gere) Edward Lewis’s credit card.

California’s vast and awe inspiring Mountain Ranges are perhaps less known but no less attractive to tourists because of the vast range of skiing, snowboarding and other winter and summer outdoor activities they host.

The United States is so vast, and this means that the states within it, including California are also vast, bigger than some countries ( Montenegro, San Marino). The area it spans means California, like many U.S. states simply can not be beaten on the range of tourist activities on offer:

Surfing, skiing, white water rafting, fishing, shooting, snowboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing, ski-diving, hiking, bird-watching, horse riding, swimming with dolphins… To save us going on forever, refer back to paragraph two: California has so much to offer; something for everyone.
